You made it!

Don't you just love that sound? Click here.  =)

Its now time to explore your account.

The first thing you want to do is "find" your files on "your" computer!  After all, what good is being able to login if you don't have any files to upload?  =)

By default, the wsftple program will start out in the default directory of wsftp installation on your computer.

See the left side of the wsftple program where it says "Local System" ?

You need to hit the   and browser your computer's hard drive to find where your html files are located.

At this point, if you don't know where your files are, neither do I!   Most can figure it out and its self explanatory.  =)

After you find the directory where your files are stored, now click on this button towards the bottom of your wsftple program:

A pop up box will appear that looks like this...

Click on this button:

At this point, every time you start your wsftple program, the ftp program will automatically go to where your files are on your computer without you having to find them again!   Neat huh?

Ok, one more thing yet to do!

See the "General" tab at the top?

Click on it.

Your screen should now show you this:

Be sure that you make it look like this:

The "Enable Log" is by default checked.  All this does is create unnecessary WS_FTP.log files on the server and on your local computer.   Uncheck it!

Where it says E-Mail Address, just put your normal email address.

Leave Text Viewer as "notepad".

At this point, click on:    now click

That part is now done.   You may wish to close your wsftp program to see if it saves your settings.  Just restart the program and hit  Ok to see if your html files are on the left and your website server folders are on the right.

Its time to explore your web site folders and files.  =)

All the hard stuff was just done!   The rest is pretty easy.

Lets start by just "seeing" what is on the right side of the wsftple screen.

Click on the links on the left to explore the respective directories.

Start with "Cgi-bin", if your advanced, or if you just want to upload your files and explore the cgi-bin latter go directly to: "Docs"
